VERTICAL SLICER INNOVATIONS AND NEW FEATURES

FEZER has concluded several innovations and has included new features on its Vertical Slicers model FVI. The upcoming deliveries of these machines will all count on these updates, which will ensure better performance, friendlier use, easier installation and easier maintenance. The first machine is ready for shipment to  ESTRAMA – Spain and will be delivered with following characteristics:

The main structure of the flitch table vertical guides (uprights)  is made of welded steel plate, for increased stability. Vertical guides are lubricated with grease instead of oil.

Catchers stand on factory floor, no moving platform to stand on.

Nose bar setting screws in front of the machine.

Heating of the knife and nose-bar  castings by hot air closed circulation system. No requirement for hot water or hot oil system, making a simpler system, easier for maintenance and additional structural stability.

Horizontal gap control with hydraulic servo cylinder, giving more precise adjustment between knife and nose bar. The horizontal gap is controlled by the machine PLC and allows changing the thickness without stopping the machine, the storage of slicing recipes for different species and/or thickness and reset to zero position when changing the knife.

Veneer delivery belts with polycarbonate transparent table with lighting underneath. The transparent table and the light allow better inspection of the veneer sheets making it easier to detect any defect.

Flitch table with vacuum table (optional) and three hydraulic dogs for extra clamping force for operation with large flitches or full blocks. (The picture shows the table without vacuum system, which will be assembled on site)New and more robust clamping dogs for more clamping force
